THE NATIONAL EWING SARCOMA TUMOR BOARD
NEWS Tumor Board
The National Ewing Sarcoma Tumor Board is a virtual, educational tumor board, hosted by Matteo Trucco, MD (Cleveland Clinic Children’s), in collaboration with multidisciplinary sarcoma experts across the nation.
Leaders in the fields of pediatric & medical oncology, radiation oncology, orthopedic oncology, radiology/IR, pathology and other surgical specialties participate representing leading institutions such as Dana-Farber, Duke, Nationwide Children’s, Seattle Children’s, and Stanford. This is done in partnership with a warrior’s primary oncologist.
NEWS Tumor Board’s Mission:
To provide expertise and education in the treatment and management of Ewing Sarcoma Family Tumors. Experts share their knowledge and discuss clinical trials and innovative treatments to enhance the quality of life for Ewing Sarcoma patients.
Which cases are presented?
Challenging and/or complex newly diagnosed, relapsed, or refractory Ewing Sarcoma Family Tumor cases.
Cases that would benefit from discussion and sharing of knowledge and experience related to systemic therapy, local control options, or clinical trials.
Must have a focus question(s) for the group to discuss.

Little Warrior Foundation isn’t associated with the Tumor Board, but we believe it is a powerful and under-utilized resource for warriors with extra challenging cases, or warriors in remote areas without access to Ewing’s experts.
Please share this information with your provider and ask if your case would benefit. Physicians are invited to participate in the live Tumor Board by contacting the coordinator at keaneyh@ccf.org.
Due to privacy issues, patients and families are not permitted to attend. Patients cannot submit their own cases - that must be done by a provider.
Physicians can learn more and submit de-identified cases by visiting Cleveland Clinic’s NEWS Tumor Board page.
DISCLAIMER: The Tumor Board and its discussions are for educational purposes only. The discussions during the sessions do not represent a second opinion or a formal pathologic, radiographic, surgical, or medical review. Each physician presenting on behalf of their patient is solely responsible for their patient’s plan of care.
